Our Studio.
Studio Carlyle is a Melbourne interior design studio with 25+ years of experience across luxury residential, commercial, and developer projects. We're known for our joinery expertise, material knowledge, and precision - but what drives us is something simpler: creating spaces that feel as good as they look.
Design here is a collaborative process. We listen, we consider, and we shape environments that are beautiful, practical, and built around the way you actually live.

Not every interior design studio is the same - and we think that matters when it's your home or your project on the line.
Our team holds qualifications from RMIT University and the University of Melbourne, spanning interior design, architecture and construction. Together we cover every dimension of a project - creative, technical and commercial and we're proud members of the Design Institute of Australia.
We've worked across residential renovations, custom new builds, joinery design, and commercial and hospitality fitouts - including a full redesign of a hospital café at the Austin Hospital.
But what our clients tell us matters most is simpler than any qualification: we listen. We take the time to understand how you actually use your space before we make a single design decision. The result is always beautiful — and always genuinely yours.

Custom cabinetry, kitchens, wardrobes and built-ins designed precisely for your space. We detail every element, from proportions and materials through to handle and hardware selection.

Detailed joinery layouts, fixture and fitting selection, material specification, and cabinetry coordination with your builder.

HOW WE WORK
Our Process.
We understand that every project is different, which is why we’ve developed a clear, collaborative process that supports our clients from concept through to completion. Whether you're in the early planning stages, mid-way through a renovation, or looking to elevate the final details, we’re happy to meet you where you are. Here’s how we can help.
1) Initial Consultation
We meet to understand project, your goals, and your timeline. We'll discuss whether we're the right fit and answer any questions you have.
2) Concept Development
We develop the initial design direction for your project - including a spatial planning, mood board, material palette, and key design moves. This is presented for your review and refined until the direction feels right.
3) Design Development
With the concept approved, we develop the design in detail. This includes 3D renders, joinery drawings, material and finishes schedules and all documentation ready for your builder or trades.
4) Procurement & Coordination
We manage the sourcing and procurement of fixtures ,furniture, artwork, and soft furnishings. We coordinate directly with your builder and trades so nothing falls through the cracks.
5) Completion
We do a final walk-through of your design to make sure every detail is exactly as needed. Then we hand it over to you - finished.

Patricia
Interior Designer
Patricia holds a Bachelor of Interior Design (Honours) from RMIT University and brings experience across both the technical and creative sides of the industry. Focused on each client’s goals and aspirations, she combines experience and attention to detail to deliver thoughtful, innovative interiors from concept through to completion.

Suzi
Interior Designer
With a background in corporate Marketing, Suzi is a RMIT qualified interior designer. After many years of working with trades and clients she has a practical approach to designing spaces that work. Her focus is always about smart planning, beautiful detail and design that feels as good as it looks.

Eleanor
Designer, Architectural
Eleanor brings experience spanning both Architecture and Construction industries, from creating detailed design drawings and 3D visualisations to commercial project management. Coupled with a BA. Design - Architecture, from The University of Melbourne, she has a keen eye for detail.
